SG50 a Singapore celebration

Today 7th August 2015 is a significant day for Singapore, the nation that proudly calls itself  "the Little Red Dot".  It's the nation's 50th anniversary of independence !  Celebrations are in order.

Truly having progressed from third world to first is something to be proud of.  So what about the areas of the brain and mind?  Still using a small percentage only?  Hmmm... like 10%?...as claimed by Einstein?  He was just making a wild guess you know.  And the "scientific population " have quoted him like God.

How many, including adults think more logically now?   Unfortunately nothing to be proud of...that's just left brain dominated folks.  Not using your whole brain.  The other hemisphere is not only getting bored and neglected but in danger of atrophy.

Consider this.  Our whole school system is left hemisphere dominated.  Any exam question that is not a set piece is definitely a challenge for the average student.  So rote practice is not only the norm but life itself takes on remembering a series of steps and manoeuvres to be meaningful.   That's the way of progress.  If you want to rise, be promoted, to score your points, to head your department, to be on the board of decision makers, follow the steps and make sure you don't rock the boat!

Eye-hand -whole body co-ordination needs more brain power than you think

Brain Gym?  That might get you into integrated state of mind!  Will it work better, then?   You won't know unless you begin and begin correctly too.  It's not like aerobics, the way some schools in Singapore are using Brain Gym in morning assembly....
